AMI is the world’s largest supplier of gel quality attapulgite (clay), the second largest supplier of Colemanite and is the largest supplier of air float kaolin, silica, fluorspar (combined) minerals to the glass manufacturing process.
Global Markets
Global market shares for AMI’s two major product lines in the year 2008 were ~50% for gel quality attapulgite and ~30% for air float kaolin. Together these two product lines represented approximately half of AMI's global sales, with distributed products such as silica, colemanite, fluorspar and high purity aluminosilicates comprising the remaining 50% of sales.
